for those of you who have been to the outdoor music festivals such as All Tomorrow’s Parties, Coachella, and Sasquatch you have probably seen Bessie, the ice cream truck parked outside giving away free cones. I shot the cover story (by Chris Zeigler) about Matt Allen, the ice cream giver. When asked why he gives away free ice cream Matt replied ” Ice Cream just makes people smile. ” Ya gotta love a guy like this.
